ContinueCOLLBRAN, CO. - Attention ice anglers: Colorado Parks and Wildlife and the Collbran Lions Club will be hosting a one-day Ice Fishing Tournament at Vega State Park on Feb. 11.
The event runs from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. with check-in either Friday night at Vega Lodge from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. or on Saturday beginning at 6 a.m. at the Vega State Park entrance. Prizes will be awarded for largest fish caught. For adults 18 and older, there are cash prizes for the top five lengths. The first place prize is $750. Non-cash prizes will be awarded to the first five places for youths between ages 11-17 and also for kids ages 10 and under.
MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. - FLW, the world's leading tournament-fishing organization, has announced it has reached an agreement with RMC BoatWorksTM to become the newest sponsor of FLW for the 2012 season. RMC BoatWorks will be given exposure across all platforms of FLW, including its tournaments, expos, multiple websites, and magazines.
OLYMPIA - The Washington Fish and Wildlife Commission will consider adopting a new package of sportfishing rules for 2012-13, as well as an increase in the number of multiple season hunting permits issued each year, during a public meeting Feb. 3-4 in Olympia.
